Recipe for a Riot Grrrl
When the leader of a ’90s Riot Grrrl band decides to quit and become a baker, her sister and bandmate fights to save their feminist punk rock dream.
"Acetone" (Kathy), the 40-something leader of a fading feminist punk band, wants to quit the road and use a legacy from her dead grandmother to start a business in her old hometown. But drummer and co-inheritor "Excreta" (Kathy's little sister Allison) still believes in the Riot Grrrl movement and is less than cooperative. Will the “Filthy Sonic Surfer Girls” ride again, or is “Revolution Girl Style Now” just fair-trade chocolate and silicone bakeware?
